Victory At The Cross - By Dr. Paul Dhinakaran

I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.(Galatians 2:20)

Beloved! Many times we trust in influential people and those in power to receive favours from them to be successful in life. We fail to realize that such favours usually end in bitterness and heartache. But when we seek Lord Jesus Christ, He shall elevate us and enable us to lead a victorious life. He promises us, “Lo, I am with you always even unto the end of the world…” (Matthew 28:20).

Apostle Paul who experienced the unchanging love of Jesus Christ in all his trials and tribulations says, “I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me” (Galatians 2:20).

The American President Abraham Lincoln abolished slavery in the U.S.A. to the opposition of the white people. He wrought victory for the black people. Because of this, a man shot dead the President while he was watching a play. When his body was taken in procession to the cemetery, many people shouted insults at his body for abolishing slavery but a black woman who was set free from it, said to her child in her arms, “My daughter! See this righteous man who gave his life to set you free from slavery!”

Likewise, Jesus Christ in His love for us suffered on our behalf and gave His life. He defeated satan and his armies at the cross. When believe in Him and thank Him for suffering on our behalf and defeating satan at the cross, He will deliver us from our bondage and afflictions and will crown us with victory in life.
Prayer:

Loving Lord Jesus,

I fall prostrate before You for Your awesome and unchanging love. I thank you that You have wrought victory for me by defeating satan and his hosts at the cross. Lord, help me to crucify my flesh and yield to You. Help me to grow and stay strong in You. Let everything I do prosper and help me live a victorious life on earth. Let Your peace and joy fill my life. I give You all glory, honour and praise.

Amen.
