In a devotion I received the other day I read something that has had me thinking all weekend about the Cross.
Can any of us truly understand what Jesus did that day?
He gave us GRACE through His death.

G - God's

R - Riches

A - At

C - Christ's

E - Expense

He chose His death. He chose the pain and suffering of His death. He chose the humiliation and torture of His death.So that we may have eternal life.

The Cross served His purposes for the most painful, humiliating and tortuous method of death available to Him.

Do you know that He chose the Cross?

Sin had to die the day He died.

He knew that the monster of sin would be defeated only with a weapon of destruction - only with the Cross.

Once again, what evil men would have for evil purposes, God used for good.

The Cross, the symbol of the most humiliating method death of Christ's time, stands victorious over death.

Praise the Father for the Son, and for the Comforter Who has come!
